The key to a beautiful new lawn is the preparation:

When replacing an old, tired lawn we will firstly lift and dispose of the old turf. It may be that it is damaged from heavy footfall, pets or uneven under foot.

We will then establish the best possible ground levels, rotavating the ground, levelling and removing unwanted debris, rocks and tree roots before introducing fresh, nutrient-rich top soil or "Root-Zone" - a combination of top soil and sand, ideal to ensure correct drainage in heavy or clay-based earth.

Before laying your new lawn we add specialised "pre-turf" fertiliser to ensure the new turf gets the best possible start and quickly establishes new root systems. For larger areas of lawn we may also suggest grass seeding rather than turfing. Whilst it's not an "instant" lawn, lawn seed is more cost effective for larger projects.

We will always provide the initial watering in for your new lawn and advise you the best ways to maintain it as it establishes.
